The first accounts of the Servin family in Chablis can be traced back to 1654 and with over seven generations of traditional winemaking behind them, today, the domaine is well known as one of Chablis' leading family-owned vineyards.
Domaine Servin is one of Chablis' most important estates with 32 hectares of vineyards in some of the most famous parcels in Burgundy, including Chablis, Chablis 1er Cru Montée de Tonnerre, Vaillons and Forêts, and represents four of the seven famous Chablis Grands Crus with Les Preuses, Les Bougros, Les Blanchots, and Les Clos.
These classic wines are exported to the 4 corners of the globe and their wines can be found on the tables of the most prestigious restaurants in the world. Domaine Servin produces unequalled quality wines from the unique terroir of Chablis, where the rich, old, limestone soil and the cool continental climate produce one of the worlds finest Chardonnays.
Traditional vinification is an important component of the estate's success. Some of the finest crus are aged in oak, to develop greater complexity of flavour. One of these wines, a Grand Cru, was selected in 1998, in the top 100 wines in the world.
In order to continue to improve their wines and service, Domaine Servin is currently increasing the size of and improving it's cellars in Chablis, investing over a 1/4 of a million euros to achieve this.
