Situated in the heart of the Champagne 5 km from Epernay, the magnificent village of Hautvillers dominates the surrounding vineyard. About 1861, Dom Perignon, then cellar master in the Benedictine abbey of Hautvillers, invented champagne as we know it today. It is thanks to this important event that Hautvillers became the most renowned village of the region.
The family champagne house of JM Gobillard and son cultivates about 25 hectares of vines, mostly in the Premier Cru vineyard of Hautvillers. They also receive grapes from some 75 hectares of vines through agreements with growers selected for their expertise and quality. Passion, dynamism and know-how characterize this growing family business, both in the vineyard and in commerce, with each stage carefully and rigorously controlled, while fully respecting the Champagne traditioncentury.
