Chablis Grand Cru Blanchot Vieilles Vignes, 2004
Domaine Billaud-Simon
Tasting note:
Appearance: Rich golden cloak with green reflections, brilliant and clear. The nose is honeyed, with toasted hazelnut on fresh fruity notes, lemon verbena, vervain, menthol on honeysweet base...Discreet oak enrobed with vanilla and toast. The palate is powerful and full-bodied, a combination of ripeness, freshness and generosity in a perfect blend of balanced fruit, mineral and oak. A finish with subtle shades of toast, vanilla, spice and fruit; candid, rich and generous on the palate, combining honeyed lemon and iodine mineral.
