These terms and conditions apply to all orders placed at www.frenchwines.ie. Please note the importance of reading our purchasing terms and conditions carefully. Under Irish law they affect your consumer rights and liabilities. By accepting these terms and conditions you indicate that you agree to them and therefore may purchase products from www.frenchwines.ie.

∑ Ordering and availability

It is against the law to sell or supply alcohol to persons under the legal age of 18 years old in the Republic of Ireland. By continuing to use our website you confirming that you are above this age. The www.frenchwines.ie team carefully looks after each wineís stock level. However, if for any reason, an ordered wine is out of stock, we will contact you to suggest an alternative product or similar solution to fulfill your order, on receipt of your order.

∑ Purchases

All our prices include VAT, as applicable in the Republic of Ireland. The prices of each item exclude the delivery charge (for more information, see Delivery section). We reserve the right to change prices at any time. Whilst we work hard to ensure the details and pricing on our website to be accurate, occasional errors may appear. Please note that the bottle in the image displayed for any wine may vary slightly from the one received due to a change in vintage or packaging design. The actual wine will always be as described however. By completing and submitting the electronic order form on the site you are making an offer to purchase goods which, if accepted by us, will result in a binding contract.

∑ Delivery

A standard delivery charge of Ä10 anywhere in the Republic of Ireland is applied to all orders. www.frenchwines.ie offers a nationwide delivery. Home deliveries are generally made within 2 to 5 working days from the date the order is placed. Occasionally, due to circumstances beyond our control, orders may take longer than 5 working days to fulfill. If this is the case, we will notify you of the delay by telephone. Our acceptance of any order is based on the purchaser being at least 18 years old. Upon delivery, if our couriers are in doubt of the age of the recipient of an order, they are required to request proof of age. In the event that this is not satisfied, they are not permitted to leave the wine.

∑ Cancellation and returns policy

You can cancel your order at any stage up to the point of dispatch at no charge. Orders cancelled post- dispatch will incur a delivery charge of Ä10. Goods received should be inspected immediately upon receipt to check for damaged or missing products. The courier must be informed of breakages or shortages at the time of delivery. We will not accept any claims for breakages or shortages unless they are stated on the couriersí documentation. In the unfortunate case of goods being faulty or damaged in transit, www.frenchwines.ie offers the choice of either a replacement or a full refund. Goods can be returned by Registered Post (contact us first by phone). In case of damaged products, we ask you to send us back the broken bottle with the cork in the bottleneck. Unfortunately in those circumstances, you will be responsible for any costs incurred in returning the goods. Failure to notify us of damaged or missing product within seven days of receiving the order may negate your right to free return and refund.

∑ Cookies

A cookie is a small data file that certain websites write to your hard drive when you visit them. A cookie file can contain information such as a user ID that the site uses to track the pages you have visited. The only personal information that a cookie can contain is the information you supply yourself. We use a cookie so you view our pop-up window only once, the first time you visit www.frenchwines.ie. They can also be used to store passwords and username/details required. A cookie may be disabled in the customerís web browser, but this may affect usability of some parts of the site.
